When I hit a wall, my immediate prayer is usually for a quick fix. I want the pressure removed, the problem solved, and the uncomfortable thing taken out of my life right now. We treat weakness like an obstacle to God’s work, as if He’s just waiting for us to get strong again so He can actually use us.
Paul prayed three separate times for his “thorn” to be taken away, but God didn’t give him an escape route — He gave him a new perspective. God didn’t remove the struggle; He moved into it. Strength in the Kingdom isn’t the total absence of weakness or exhaustion. It’s God’s power choosing to show up directly inside the spaces where you’ve run out of your own capacity. The place wearing you out right now might not be a barrier to grace; it might be the very spot where His strength becomes real to you.

Study It
The Greek word for “made perfect” in 2 Corinthians 12:9 is teleo, meaning fulfilled or brought to its intended end. God’s power isn’t diluted by our limitations; it finds its fullest expression when our self-reliance finally runs out.
Prayer
“Lord, I don’t always like hearing that Your grace is sufficient when I’m begging for a fix. Teach me to stop fighting my limitations and start trusting Your power to work right inside my weakness. Amen.”
Ask Yourself
What hard situation or personal weakness have you been asking God to remove that He might actually want to display His strength through instead?
